Looking to start a ‘stache or keep your legs furry for the winter? Then this month is for you! Great non-profit organizations like No-Shave November and Movember encourage men to grow out their facial hair and women to go all natural, in order to increase awareness about men’s health issues like prostate and colon cancer.
By ditching the razor for a month, No-Shave November hopes it will evoke conversation and raise awareness about cancer. Here’s their concept:
“The goal of No-Shave November is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free. Donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.”
The people at Movember are on the same page; it’s all about turning your face into an awareness conversation-starter:
“A moustache is nature's billboard. Use it to start a conversation about men's health this Movember.”
Whether or not you put down your razor this month, it’s always a good idea to raise awareness for a great cause. Check out some of our mustache gift wrap here:
